FREE covered, secure bicycle parking at West Entrance. No overnight parking is permitted in the zoo lots. Bus/RV parking in Hippo lot only. Additional parking is located in Lower Woodland Park at N.
Can I bring my own food to Woodland Park Zoo?
Yes, like a daytime visit to the zoo, visitors are permitted to bring their own food to WildLanterns. You will be required to be in our designated eating/drinking areas when consuming the food and beverage though. Outside alcohol is prohibited.

Hands down Point Defiance is better than Woodland park. You see way more animals! Its a small easily walkable zoo with a large variety of animals.

Does Woodland Park Zoo have elephants 2021?
Woodland Park Zoo has announced it will phase out its elephant program by moving its two remaining females to a larger herd. The news comes after the death in August of its only remaining African elephant, Watoto. Two Asian elephants remain on display in Seattle: 35-year-old Chai and 47-year-old Bamboo.

Can you take a backpack to the zoo?
Backpacks that are used as camera bags, diaper bags or purses are permitted. All bags are subject to be searched by Zoo staff. (Students visiting the Zoo on a field trip are not allowed to carry backpacks into the Zoo).
