How does the outlet light work?
When you plug in a lamp and turn it on, the hot part of the outlet allows electricity to flow into the lamp, turning on the light bulb. The circuit is completed when the current is brought back into the outlet through the neutral slot, and back into the circuit breaker.
How does the LED outlet plate work?
These plates touch the screw terminals on the sides of the outlet and provide power to three LEDs on the bottom of the plate. A light sensor turns the LEDs on when it’s dark. The prongs on the inside of the outlet cover draw electricity from the terminal screws on the outlet.
