What is MRI SureScan?
The MRI SureScan™ feature permits a mode of device operation that allows a patient with a SureScan system to undergo an MRI scan under the specified MRI conditions for use. A complete SureScan system is required for use in the MR environment.
Can you have an MRI while wearing a heart monitor?
Do not have any X-Ray, MRI or CAT scan tests done while wearing the Holter • monitor. Do not bring the equipment near to metal detectors. Do not remove the carrying case or the battery from the monitor.
Can you get an MRI with a heart monitor?
Patients with implanted cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators can undergo an MRI but will need special considerations based on the type of device the patient has and the MRI equipment. It is advised your referring physician contacts the MRI technologist or radiologist.
Are heart monitor MRI safe?
The recently published European Society of Cardiology (ESC) guidelines on cardiac pacing and cardiac resynchronisation therapy (CRT) indicate that MRI can be safely performed in patients with an implanted pacemaker or ICD (MRI conditional or not), as long as strict safety conditions are met.

Micra was designed, tested, and approved to be used safely with MRI scanners. You can undergo an MRI scan as long as patient eligibility requirements are met. Your pacemaker ID card specifies the implanted device model.
