A Temporary Disqualification simply means the physical condition is temporary and you cannot process through MEPS because of the medical condition. This could be something as simple as a broken finger. They can’t allow you to join the military with a broken bone.

Can you join the military after being disqualified?
You can’t enlist with a permanent medical disqualification unless you receive an approved waiver. If you are found to be permanently disqualified, the MEPS doctor will indicate on your medical form whether a waiver is recommended in your case. It is the first step in the medical waiver process.
Can you be on medication in the military?
Any history of mood disorders requiring medication and/or outpatient care for longer than six months by a mental health professional is also disqualifying. Also, any symptoms of mood and mental issues that affect social ability, school, and learning, or work efficiency are disqualifying.
