What is a XAUI interface?
The 10 Gigabit Attachment Unit Interface (XAUI) is an optional, self-managed interface that can be inserted between the reconciliation sublayer and the PHY layer to transparently extend the physical reach of the 10 Gigabit Media Independent Interface (XGMII). XAUI addresses several physical limitations of the XGMII.
What is the speed of an XAUI interface?
The Xilinx 10 Gigabit Attachment Unit Interface (XAUI) LogiCORE™ IP provides a 4-lane high speed serial interface, providing up to 10 Gigabits per second (Gbps) total throughput.
How XAUI works?
XAUI is a full duplex interface that uses four (4) self-clocked serial differential links in each direction to achieve 10 Gb/s data throughput. Each serial link operates at 3.125 Gb/s to accommodate both data and the overhead associated with 8B/10B coding.
What is XGXS?
The source XGXS converts bytes on an XGMII lane into a self clocked, serial, 8b/10b encoded data stream. Each of the four XGMII lanes is transmitted across one of the four XAUI lanes. The destination XGXS recovers clock and data from each XAUI lane and deskews the four XAUI lanes into the single-clock XGMII.
What is Usxgmii?
The Universal Serial 10GE Media Independent Interface (USXGMII) IP core implements an Ethernet Media Access Controller (MAC) with a mechanism to carry a single port of 10M, 100M, 1G, 2.5G, 5G or 10GE over an IEEE 802.3 Clause 49 BASE-R physical coding sublayer/physical layer (PCS/PHY).
What is dual GB Ethernet?
Bonding Dual Gigabit Ethernet This enables your computers to view them as a single interface, using one gigabit connection to send and the other to receive. This arrangement effectively doubles your input to 2 Gbps if you’re using gigabit cards, or 20 Gbps if you’re using 10 GB cards.
What is Sgmii?
The serial gigabit media-independent interface (SGMII) is the interface with the lowest pin count available for connecting compatible MACs and PHYs. It consists of pairs of Txdata, Rxdata, and Rx Ref Clk data pins.
What is 10GBASE-LX4?
10gbase-lx4 meaning Filters. The IEEE 802.3ae media specifications for 10 Gbps Ethernet (10GbE) transmission over optical fiber, multiplexing four wavelengths through coarse wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM).There are two specifications, one of which is for multimode fiber (MMF) with a core diameter of 50. 1.
Can I use Ethernet cable outside?
Ethernet cable can go outside. Exterior-grade ethernet cable which is weatherproof can safely be used outside without the need for a protective conduit. Other types of ethernet cable that are not exterior-grade may still have a UV protective jacket to protect it from exposure to sunlight.
Does dual LAN increase speed?
Administrator. 1) Running dual cables to your router will not increase speed of downloading from the Internet, unless you are running from two separate lines/services & are connected to separate routers. 2) You get the speed increase for your local network or LAN by bridging the network connection.
